State Leadership Idea Exchange Council: REALTORS® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo 2018

The State Leadership Idea Exchange Council will meet Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in the Palladian Room at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. After NAR Leadership addresses the group in the opening session and the top ideas are exchanged, each state association will participate in small, medium, or large breakout sessions.

We also encourage state presidents and state president-elects to attend the State President/State President-Elect Information Exchange on Friday, May 18, 2018, in the Empire Room of the Omni Shoreham Hotel. This Information Exchange also consists of presentations, has allotted time for unresolved issues and current challenges, and provides for questions and answers.

Arkansas

Arkansas REALTORS® teamed up with Interact CE to provide the cutting-edge technology of "gamification" to their expanding catalog of professional development opportunities throughout the state.

Florida

Florida REALTORS® introduced their PAC- and REALTOR®-branded shoes, and announced The Next Wave, a Florida YPN event taking place in September.

Georgia

GAR boosted attendance to its annual conference by 300% because of a successful marketing plan. Also, the GAR Board of Directors approved the formation of the REALTORS® Political Advisory Group (RPAG).

Illinois

Illinois REALTORS® commissioned a video that looks at the struggle to attain and the ultimate promise of Fair Housing in Illinois. They also dedicated a Fair Housing monument on Springfield's Bicentennial Plaza.

Michigan

Michigan REALTORS® introduced its "Going the Distance" mantra to encourage participation above and beyond, as well as celebrating Fair Housing, fostering leadership, protecting vacation rentals, and establishing Michigan first-time homebuyer savings accounts.

Minnesota

Minnesota REALTORS® is working to expand communication and collaboration between Association leaders.

Missouri

Missouri REALTORS® engaged in a number of activities in recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the Fair Housing Act, including a conference featuring Dr. Bernice King and a grant program offering $50,000 in honor of the anniversary.

New Jersey

NJ REALTORS® developed a Meeting Center to combat inconsistencies in scheduling and to hold committee meetings in accordance with association bylaws.

New York

NYSAR created a series of videos using members to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Fair Housing law. These highlight how REALTORS® support fair housing for all and how it benefits their communities.

North Carolina

NC REALTORS®' XCHANGE '18 is a real estate event featuring red carpet events, talks, think tanks, and hands-on workshops where REALTORS® work to solve real problems.
