
If the National Association of REALTORS®’ first two “Right by you” commercials, released in March, tickled your funny bone, a new commercial coming April 9 will tug at your heartstrings.
The new creative, titled “Dream Home,” takes a young couple through a lifetime of memories in their dream home before bringing them back to reality. This surprise moment brings awareness that their dream may stay a dream without the trusted partnership and expertise of an agent who is a REALTOR®, someone who can also help protect them from having their dream turn into a nightmare.
Breaking Through in a Changing Landscape
NAR’s “Right by you” ad campaign reinforces the value of working with a REALTOR®, a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, in a changing cultural landscape, says Karen Bebart, NAR director of consumer strategy & brand advertising. The first two ads— collectively titled “Don’t DIY”—focused on a home purchase and a commercial lease. The new “Dream Home” spots use four actors to play the hero couple, seamlessly aging them together over the course of more than 60 shots in a house that also evolves with their life, giving the spots an authentic and emotional feeling.
Together, “Don’t DIY” and “Dream Home” create a well-rounded and well-balanced emotional narrative that “speaks directly to the real experiences of first-time buyers today and helps overcome specific perceptions,” Bebart says. In all three spots, agents who are REALTORS® partner with their clients to help keep them grounded, informed and protected when their emotions begin to overtake rational thinking.
“These impactful stories are relevant and relatable for consumers because they reflect the ethical, and very human, partnerships that consumers build with REALTORS®, members of NAR. See all the new Dream Home ads before they launch publicly. You’ll find them—as well as the “Don’t DIY” ads and audio spots for both creative approaches—at resources.realtor.
