We are proving that we are resilient and adaptable—and that the work we do is essential.

It’s been two months since we implemented residential practice changes, and brokers and agents across the country tell me they’re embracing the changes with minimal disruption to their customers, clients and businesses. We are proving that we are resilient and adaptable—and that the work we do is essential.

That said, it’s never easy to change longstanding practices. Our business models will evolve. It’ll take time to determine how the new practices will influence the market. During this transitionary time, consumer outreach remains incredibly important; buyers and sellers need to know they have choices and that we are champions of choice. So far, more than 800 members have signed on to get the facts out through our grassroots “surrogate” initiative. It has been awesome to see positive stories coming out of so many markets. I could not be more grateful for their teamwork—and for yours.
