The 2025 Policy Forum, A Nation of Homeowners: How Tax Reform Can Boost the American Dream, will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Grand Hyatt Washington.

NAR is hosting this forum at the start of a new Congress and a new Presidential Administration, in which a top priority will be deciding how to deal with key provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act set to expire in 2025. Too many Americans cannot afford to buy a home because demand greatly outpaces supply following an exceptionally low rate of housing production over the past two decades.

This forum brings together policymakers and national thought leaders to discuss how tax reform in 2025 can create paths to homeownership for more Americans. With a recent NAR study finding that first-time homeowner purchases are at an all-time low, and the age of first-time homebuyers at an all-time high, attending this forum will illuminate how the nation can change the tax law to prioritize homeownership for the positive role it plays in household formation, generational wealth-building, and fostering strong communities.

The event will include lunch, half day of programming, and a cocktail reception concluding at 5:30 p.m. ET. Please continue monitoring the forum outline for updates.
