Steve LaRue

Steve LaRue (CRS, AHWD, C2EX) has been selling residential properties with McGrew Real Estate in Lawrence, Kan., since 2002. He works a mostly referral-based business and runs a small team.

He has volunteered with the REALTOR® association since early in his career, first elected as a local director in 2005. Since then, he has served in many ways, including as 2010 president of the Lawrence Board of REALTORS® and 2019 president of the Kansas Association of REALTORS®.

His passion within the REALTOR® organization has been on the governmental affairs side. He has chaired the NAR RPAC Federal Disbursements Trustees Committee (2018) as well as his local and state RPAC Trustees. In 2020, he served as NAR’s RPAC Trustees Federal Disbursement Committee Liaison. He was a member of the National RPAC Trustees Committee from 2011 to 2020. He currently serves on NAR's Executive Committee following his tenure as 2023 Regional Vice President for Region 9 (Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma).

He is a graduate of NAR’s 2014 Leadership Academy, as well the Kansas Association’s Right Track Leadership Program class of 2011.

Even more important than his career and volunteerism: his family. He and his wife Kenna of more than 23 years are raising three sons: Jon, Jack, and Jace.
