Sara Lipnitz (SFR®, PMN), a REALTOR® and associate broker from Birmingham, Mich., is the 2025 Vice President of Advocacy of the National Association of REALTORS®. Sara has been involved in the real estate industry for over 25 years, first in the commercial market, and for the past 23 years in residential sales.

Sara’s commitment to the industry includes extensive volunteer service at the local, state, and national levels. She served on several committees for the Greater Metropolitan Association of REALTORS®, including the RPAC, diversity, and nominating committees. Her service with Michigan REALTORS® is significant, including positions as an RPAC Trustee, Treasurer in 2016, President-elect in 2017, and President in 2018.

Sara first served as an NAR Director in 2015 and has been active in many volunteer capacities for NAR. She currently serves on several NAR committees and chairs two, the Federal Independent Expenditures Advisory Board and the RPAC Trustees Federal Disbursement Committee. She is in the RPAC Hall of Fame. In 2017, Governor Rick Snyder appointed Sara to a four-year term on the Michigan Board of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons.

Sara lives with her husband Doug, an airline pilot, and their son Reid. When not working, she can often be found on the water boating, at her home in Florida, at her church, or spending time with friends and family.
