Real estate professionals are some of the most active members of their communities. NAR recognizes REALTORS® who engage in extraordinary community service through National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Awards. An offshoot of the Good Neighbor Awards, Volunteering Works provides mentoring a seed money to NAR members who are trying to grow newer community-service efforts.
For REALTORS® with an interested in local, state, or national advocacy, NAR offers a wide range of resources through its REALTOR® Party Initiative. Visit the Get Involved page to learn what’s available, including grants, support for local issue campaigns, and a training academy for REALTORS® and “REALTOR® champions” interested in running for elected office.
Deep involvement in neighborhoods, towns, and cities helps real estate professionals position themselves in the eye of fellow community members as people who understand and care about their local area, which serves the secondary purpose of boosting trust and name recognition among the public.
