The AExcellence Exchange, NAR’s AE Mentor Program, is an invaluable resource designed to support Association Executives (AEs) who are new to REALTOR® association management, those facing unique challenges in their roles, or for anyone looking to engage with their peers and grow knowledge across the AE competencies. This program facilitates meaningful connections between AEs for personalized guidance, development, and support.

Who Can Participate?

The AExcellence Exchange program is open to all REALTOR® association staff, including local, state, and MLS chief staff executives, as well as staff specialists. The program provides a pathway for association management career development through mentorship.

How Does It Work?

Mentees and mentors are matched through the AE mentor database, a system that organizes participants based on their expertise and areas of interest. Mentors and Mentees will receive a list of possible matches based on their profiles and are encouraged to connect with those listed to gauge their interest in establishing a mentorship.

A mentee is actively engaged in their personal and professional growth, guided by a trusted, experienced mentor. They rely on their mentor for valuable insights, support, and direction on association management. Mentees maintain an open approach to feedback, ask thoughtful questions, and seek continuous opportunities to improve and advance within their field.

A mentor is an experienced and trusted guide dedicated to fostering the growth and development in their peers. With a vested interest in their mentee’s success, mentors provide guidance that helps them navigate association management, enhance their skills, and become a confident, productive leader. Mentors are committed to investing time and expertise to ensure the mentee’s success and long-term growth within the organization.
