Nancy Lane (AHWD, CCIM, C2EX), a REALTOR® from Brandon, Mississippi, was the 2021-2022 Treasurer for the National Association of REALTORS®.
Nancy is principal broker at Lane-Harkins Commercial Real Estate LLC, specializing in commercial brokerage. Nancy has been a REALTOR® for over 20 years.
Nancy has served NAR in numerous capacities. She was Regional Vice President for Region 5 (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico) in 2016. She was also Chair of the NAR Real Property Operations Committee, Vice Chair of the Finance Committee, Chair of the Commercial Economic Issues and Trends Forum, and Vice Chair of the Reserves Investment Advisory Board.
Since 2001, Nancy has served on the board of directors for the Mississippi Association of REALTORS® (MAR). In response to Hurricane Katrina, Nancy was instrumental in creating the MAR Hurricane Relief Fund and served on its board of directors from 2005 to 2011. She was elected MAR president in 2005, named MAR REALTOR® of the Year in 2010, and inducted into the MAR Hall of Fame in 2015.
Nancy is a charter member of the Mississippi Commercial Association of REALTORS® (MCAR) and served as its president in 1998. MCAR named her REALTOR® of the Year in 2008, 2010, and 2021.
In 2013, Speaker Philip Gunn of the Mississippi House of Representatives appointed Nancy to the State of Mississippi’s Small Business Regulatory Review Committee. She was named one of Mississippi’s 50 Leading Business Women in 2004.
An active member of her community, Nancy has served on the board of directors for the Rotary Club of Jackson and as treasurer of the Mississippi Art Guild. She was also a director and treasurer for DREAM of Mississippi – an organization dedicated to helping young people adopt a healthy lifestyle.
In her spare time, Nancy enjoys painting, fishing, and spending time with family. Nancy’s husband, Jesse, is also a REALTOR® and served as National President of the REALTORS® Land Institute in 2010. Together they have two children and five granddaughters.
