The National Association of REALTORS® has appointed Jarrod Grasso, CEO of NJ REALTORS®, as its senior vice president of industry relations.

In his new role, Grasso will lead NAR’s efforts to enhance engagement with state and local associations. He will focus on raising awareness of and promoting value around NAR initiatives, so members can better leverage the association’s tools, trainings and resources.

“Investing in dedicated resources to facilitate state and local relations is critical to ensure we’re hearing real-time feedback about challenges leaders face so they can be addressed quickly,” says NAR CEO Nykia Wright.  “Jarrod’s extraordinary reputation across the industry and with our national, state and local associations make him the perfect fit for this position. I am confident that his leadership will enhance NAR’s ability to serve REALTORS®.”

Wright announced the news at an in-person event at the NJ REALTORS® office in Trenton, N.J., on Wednesday, saying Grasso is distinctly qualified for the role. Grasso spent more than two decades at NJ REALTORS®; before becoming CEO, he served as chief lobbyist and vice president of government affairs for the organization.

“I am honored to join NAR in this pivotal new role and look forward to working alongside my association colleagues, our members and other industry partners to demonstrate how, together, we can create meaningful solutions for REALTORS®,” Grasso says. “By fostering strong relationships and addressing critical industry priorities, we can help members remain indispensable to their clients and communities.”

He’s also been active at the national level for years, with his NAR committee service stretching back to 2003. He served as an NAR director and was the 2015 chair of the Association Executives Committee.

“Over the past year, he has been a trusted thought partner for NAR, working closely with our team to identify concerns at the state and local levels and brainstorm solutions,” Wright says. “It became evident that his expertise and leadership were needed on a more frequent and structured basis.”

Grasso has earned many achievements in the industry, including being inducted into the Association Executives Committee’s Dr. Almon R. “Bud” Smith Leadership Society in 2013, as well as winning the William R. Magel Award of Excellence in 2020 and the REALTOR® Association Certified Executive designation in 2006.

“Having known Jarrod for nearly two decades, I have personally witnessed his collaborative approach, and I have full confidence in his extensive experience,” says NAR President Kevin Sears. “He is well suited in this role to showcase the bonds that unite our REALTOR® family and ensure we’re collaborating effectively at every level.”
