Emily Liles, 29, is known on her team as the go-getter. She’s not afraid to take risks to build a name for herself in the business, whether through cold calling, going after expired listings and off-market opportunities, investing in marketing signage with her head shot, volunteering in her local business community and abroad, and pursuing special designations. “They know me as the hard charger who comes into the office early every morning and leaves late at night,” she says. “I’m known as the person who puts herself out there and is willing to take some risks.”
Liles has earned the EPRO and ABR credentials from NAR. “Staying informed on the market presents yourself as a more knowledgeable agent to those you come in contact with and displays competence and professionalism,” Liles says.
What’s more, she’s fluent in German and is an avid traveler. One trip helped shape her approach. She traveled to Guatemala on a volunteer trip to immerse herself in the culture. This experience, among many other travels, inspired her willingness to try new things and make new business connections. “Every single volunteer experience has its own contribution to society, but that was the one I gained the most from in terms of completely putting myself into a new environment and learning a new culture and learning to communicate with people without speaking the language.”
