For Cameron Buening, 29, standing still is not an option. “I do my best to commit 30 minutes to an hour every day to growth opportunities,” he says. Whether he’s studying local MLS data, listening to his favorite real estate podcasts or reading nonfiction books, Buening is always seeking knowledge so that he can continue to improve. “I am also a believer that the best way to learn how to do something is to teach it,” he adds.

As a result, he shares his knowledge with new agents, teaching them how to market their listings to improve their sales. He also helps agents create systems for staying in touch with clients and their sphere of influence.

With a background in musical theater and the performing arts—and a stint as a performer at Walt Disney World—Buening says he was primed for the world of real estate. “If you are at an open house or teaching a class, you have to be very comfortable and confident in your own skin to educate people about homeownership. I’m here to take people on this journey, and every step of the way, I hope they are joyful in the process.”
