For Alyssa Harper, 23, real estate is more than her career—it’s her full-time hobby. “I’m always investing and flipping properties myself, and that’s what I enjoy most,” says Harper. She owns a custom homebuilding company with her husband and business partner, and they recently completed a new construction flip. Sales are thriving in Harper’s North Carolina region, which is home to a mix of long-term residents and out-of-state investors looking for waterfront property. “It was a dream of mine to be able to build on Lake Gaston because I grew up there. I listen to what my clients like, take into account what sells, and put everything into consideration that is on my client’s wish list.”
Harper also grew up in the building industry; her family owns a building supply company that today serves as her home office. “It’s important to work with a professional who is a REALTOR® who can help clients with investment properties. I became a better asset to my clients when I started investing on my own and knowing the ins and outs,” she says.
Harper also stands out for her marketing savvy. “Whether it be videography, social media, banners, signs or open houses, I am huge on communication. I have no idea how people sleep at night knowing you haven’t responded to a client, lender or attorney. I try my very best to respond to clients and vendors within 45 minutes or so,” she says. “Over the past few years, I have grown an amazing business, and I thank my clients and community for that.”
