Sharpe co-founded Camp Horizon with his wife, Lindsey, to share the summer camp experience with kids who have physical disabilities including paralysis, spina bifida and cerebral palsy. Since 2005, more than 500 kids have participated in canoeing, horseback riding, fishing and other outdoor activities designed to be accessible. Ensuring the children’s happiness and safety are more than 50 volunteer counselors, most of whom have medical training.
