REALTOR® Associations are required to adopt the Manual or, if not adopted verbatim, establish local professional standards procedures that ensure due process, complies with applicable laws of the state, and complies substantively with the policies and procedures set forth in the NAR Manual.

The Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual (hereinafter "Manual") is copyright by the National Association of REALTORS® and may not be reproduced, retransmitted, or distributed except as provided for herein. The Manual is provided to members (REALTORS® and REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®s) and member boards/associations solely for the purpose of training and education in the fields covered by the Manual and the fulfilling the respective duties of members and member boards to the REALTOR® association, including the arbitration of disputes and the enforcement of the Code of Ethics and other rules and regulations.
Members may download and print a single copy of the Manual for their own use and Member Boards may also download and print multiple copies of the Manual for their use in education and training programs provided by the member board and for member board staff responsible for the programs covered by the Manual.
