Woven and mesh cabinet fronts are adding texture to freshen up the look of kitchens and bathrooms. The home remodeling site Houzz called this a hot trend to watch in 2025.

Woven and mesh details are being used to break up expansive rows of heavy cabinetry, especially in kitchens. Glass cabinet fronts and open shelving have been helping with that, too.

Bathroom vanities also may get a mesh treatment, like a natural wood cabinet that has a square, braided mesh front for an extra detail.

Woven and mesh fronts also are popping up in more furniture, like in accent tables or night stands, bringing 1960s vibes.

How could this extra detail enhance your listings? Houzz noted in its 2025 report that this trend is part of incorporating more natural woven materials into interiors. That can help soften hard edges and offer up a warm counterpoint for creating a cozier feel to a home.
