Housing Opportunity Grants
NAR has two tiers of grants to help associations create and sustain affordable housing opportunities.
Level 1 grants (up to $1,000): available for associations who wish to sponsor an Employer-Assisted Housing class or Expanding Housing Opportunities class. Applications should be submitted 30 days prior to the class date.
Level 2 grants (up to $5,000): available for a diverse range of activities that address a specific affordable housing issue. Level 2 applications will be reviewed by a group of leaders and members of the Housing Opportunity Committee.
Smart Growth Grants
NAR's Smart Growth Action Grants support a wide range of land-use related activities. NAR has three tiers of grants for smart growth.
Level 1 grants (up to $1,000): available for associations who wish to sponsor a Smart Growth for the 21st Century class.
Level 2 grants (up to $5,000): provide seed funding to enable a state or local association to make the initial efforts to engage local land use issues with other stakeholders and elected officials.
Level 3 grants (up to $15,000): support in-depth projects with multiple funding sources, such as a Charrette, and multiple partners or to sustain a previously initiated effort that has proven fruitful enough to warrant further investment.
Diversity Grants
Local and state associations can apply for financial support for programs and activities that position REALTORS® as leaders in our increasingly diverse communities. The Diversity Committee believes that providing resources to state and local associations is a key strategy in NAR's overall diversity program. Applications should support the strategies outlined in NAR’s Diversity and Fair Housing and Cultural Diversity Strategic Plan. Grants are up to $5,000.
