NAR is delighted to announce the hiring of Nick Falco as the new Executive Director of the REALTORS® Relief Foundation. Nick began his responsibilities on Tuesday, September 27.
Nick brings a wealth of foundation and nonprofit management experience including past employment with the American Dental Association Foundation, the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Kids Around the World, and the Million Dollar Roundtable Foundation. Nick brings specific skills and talents in the areas of strategic planning, board support, fundraising, and marketing and communications development.
These skills and experiences will serve the RRF well in a current mode of growth and proactive fundraising to meet the ever-growing needs for the provision of housing support to the victims of disasters across the U.S. RRF began a proactive fundraising approach to celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2021 and after the amazing response experienced last year, that proactive approach will continue into the future. We’ve raised more than $10 million in the last 21 months and we’ve supported nearly 30 different disaster relief efforts over that same timeframe, distributing almost $4 million to more than 2,000 families.
RRF President Mike Ford had the following comment:
The Foundation’s Board of Directors is extremely excited that Nick has been hired as the first Executive Director for RRF. This will allow RRF to continue its unprecedented fundraising efforts and increased awareness of RRF within the REALTOR® family. Under Nick’s guidance, our goal and mission to partner with our state and local associations after a natural disaster occurs to provide housing assistance will continue to be enhanced and strengthened.
Patty Garcia and John Pierpoint will continue to be involved in the operations of the Foundation and we look forward to working together with Nick as “team RRF”. We know that, with this new dedicated staff support, RRF can be more nimble and responsive than ever.
You will have the chance to meet Nick at the RRF booth in Orlando in November, so please plan to stop by and make a new connection!
