Most Home Buyers Use Real Estate Agents

Buying a home is one of the most significant financial transactions a person will make in his or her lifetime, and according to a new report from the National Association of REALTORS®, 87 percent of all buyers will use a real estate agent to help navigate the transaction. More than half of the home buyers surveyed in the report (52 percent) said want they wanted most from their agent was having help finding the right home. When it comes to finding an agent, most buyers (42 percent) used an agent via a referral from a friend, neighbor or relative, and seven in 10 buyers only interviewed one agent before hiring someone.
